During the Cold War, Hungary was a satellite state of the Russian Soviet Union. This is an excellent Soviet Hungarian cold war era Kalashnikov AK47 / AKMS Assault Rifle. AK47 Models and variants are common but the structure remains the same. The AKMS with Folding Stock was introduced as an improved variant of the AK-47 in the 1950's. This AK47 / AKMS is serial number 7622. The composite furniture as found on Hungarian AK’s and metal work of this weapon are undamaged. It has the correct shrouded fore sight, adjustable rear sight, cleaning rod, forward sling bar and rear sling swivel. It has a folding skeleton stock which operates as it should. Deactivated to UK specification in 2015 the weapon’s slide moves under spring tension, the magazine release lever works as it should allowing the magazine to be inserted & removed. The magazine’s loading plate and spring are present and function as they should. Included are 4 inert deactivated rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition which load into the magazine correctly.
