Colt 1911A1. Made in 1924 as part of the first batch of A1s ever made that came to be known as the transition model. Transition models featured some details of the original 1911 as well as the A1. After this first batch of A1s were issued. Colt then revised the A1 making mainly cosmetic changes before finalising the design.

The transition models were Government contract and military issued.

It has the correct WTG acceptance stamp found on early 1911A1s.

Some pitting to the right side of the slide. Overall it is in a nice condition.

These models of 1911 are sought after among 1911 collectors.
