Colt 2nd. Generation F Series Army .44 Muzzleloader

Very rare Colt 2nd. Generation F series (Fluted Cylinder) 1860 Army .44 Percussion revolver. I believe this one is proof fired only, I can see no evidence that it has been fired apart from proof, no doubt a cabinet queen. Study the pictures, all 44 of them, and see for yourself which is why I’ve shown the gun stripped down, assembled it’s all very tight. I’m not going to go into the history of these here, there’s plenty of info out there, go to YouTube and search The Shootist, he has a vid on these Gen. 2 guns, NOT to be confused with the later Signature Series. The serial numbers on this model ran from 207330-211262 so this one is early being only 20 guns into the series. All major components are numbered and they all match. These 2nd. Gen. Colt’s are so rare over here and this particular one having the fluted cylinder is even more rare. I believe only 1800 fluted cylinder versions in total were ever made and very few left the states.
