A pistol that needs no introduction. Original Dragoon Pistol that would have seen service through the early expansion west, the US Civil War and then the Old West period being converted from .44 percussion to .44 Henry Rimfire. No doubt for someone who had an 1866 Winchester. A proper frontiersman.

There’s only a handful of metallic cartridge converted Dragoons known in existence in the world and wherever they are written about they are referred to as very rare. The conversion was done to a very high standard in the 1860’s or 1870’s. It’s had the rear sight added at the same time.

Condition as pictured. Really nice brown patina with original blueing to the protected areas. Mechanically perfect. Bore is good and surprisingly still relatively strong for how much use this would have seen over a long period.

Very hard to find a Dragoon for sale anywhere and even more so in the U.K. This is currently the only known metallic converted example for sale anywhere in the world!

This gun is part of my own personal collection so I’m in no rush to tell. I would consider close offers and may take a part ex plus cash my way. Good WW2 and earlier deacts also considered.
