WW2 1942 dated German 150cm Anti-Aircraft Searchlight (Flakscheinwerfer 150 cm37) Spare Parts Wooden Container. MISC 868 - MISC 868

This is a WW2 1942 dated German wooden box for containing spare parts (Vorratsteile) for the 150cm anti-aircraft searchlight used by the Germans throughout WW2 with their anti-aircraft defences. The dovetailed box measures 48 x 33 x 19cm and is made of pine. The box retains most of its original black painted finish and has two folding metal handles on each end. There are three recessed steel hinges screwed to the rear of the box attached to the lid and there are eight steel reinforcing plates to the corners of the box for protection. The box is stencilled in white to the lid of the box Vorratsteile (Spare parts) fur Flakscheinwerfer 150 cm 37 (for the 150cm Anti-aircraft searchlight model 37) Gew. 15kg (Weight 15kg).
