DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a 1918 dated Imperial German Naval 37mm (37 x 94R) Pom Pom H.E. (High Explosive) nose fused round. The brass cartridge case is headstamped K 45 EPT 1918 (1918 date) Sp255 (Karlsrule inspection mark), 119A h. The brass screw in percussion primer is stamped Kp 9-18 (September 19180. The steel nose fused projectile is fitted with a brass nose fuse which is stamped round the side J 02. The projectile has two copper driving bands and is stamped above the top copper centering band with a naval crown over M (marine). The base of the projectile is stamped D.W.M.
