DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a Rare 1909 dated French 37mm (37 x 94R) Pom Pom canister round. The rounds were used for close range firing against troops. The brass cartridge case is headstamped 37 . Rr. Et. TR A.PX.09. The canister projectile is a thin brass walled container with a flat top, 115mm tall. The base of the projectile has a closure crimp to close onto a steel base washer. Inside the projectile would have contained lead shrapnel balls. No licence is required to possess this round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. The price includes UK delivery.
