DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a rare WW2 German Kriegsmarine unfired 88mm (88 x 571R) High Explosive (HE) Round (PzGr.39) for the Ship Mounted 8.8 cm/45 SK/C30 gun in Flak L C/30 pedestal mount. This round has a slightly bottlenecked brass cartridge case has two cannelures and is headstamped P C/30 (gun designation) 1939 (date) 2 Marine waffenampt. The High Explosive projectile is fitted with two sintered copper driving bands and has a removable screw in base plug which is stamped 21 DE158 39 56 20. The projectile is fitted with an alloy EKzdr C/28 nose fuse which is stamped EKzdr C/28 awl 13 /41 waffenampt 49.
