After WW2 the Dutch were supplied with M1 Carbines by the Americans. The Dutch chose to produce their own bayonets for the Carbines rather than be supplied with American bayonets. This is an original post WW2 Dutch M4 bayonet for M1 Carbines, complete with scabbard coiled thigh cord and integral webbing frog. The bayonet has the correct brown coloured plastic grip in imitation of the leather ringed grips on the US model. The scabbard is similarly styled on the U.S. version. The bayonet and scabbard are wrapped in their original protective wax paper and contained in their original sealed clear polythene bag of issue. To protect the integrity / condition of this piece we have not opened the sealed packaging (an example of an issued condition Dutch M4 knife bayonet is illustrated as a comparison example only and although in excellent condition itself does not represent the mint un-issued condition of our packaged example.
