An excellent, original, 19th Century French Fire Officer’s Helmet. The helmet has the early type large brass shell & large central Ignited grenade helmet plate. It has a leather backed brass link chin strap with buckle, large rosette bosses and a large brass combe with ignited grenade front piece. The brass skull retains all of its original black paint.
