This is an original model 1884/98 Nazi German Mauser bayonet for K98 rifles in very good condition. It is dated '39' (1939) dated on the spine of its on its fullered, blued blade. The guard is Regiment marked with what looks like ‘N20101k’ (unknown). One side of the blade is maker marked ‘Coppel GMBH’. The reverse is stamped number '3769k’. The bayonet has undamaged grooved Bakelite grips. The pommel has faint Waffenamt. Its steel scabbard is date and maker marked ‘Mundlos 1940’ & numbered ‘4108c’. The scabbard is fitted with original Leather Belt Frog. The frog has a retaining strap with alloy lug and the belt loop stitching is reinforced with alloy rivets. The rear of the belt loop is maker marked and dated ‘St Orthey Lederwarenfabrik 1936’. All stitching and leather are clean and intact. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 23484:128 (box 2)
