Genuine Rhodesian Army Marked G3 7.62mm Rifle HK Bolt Action 7.62x51mm NATO Rifle

This is the NATO issue G3 battle rifle developed in the 1950s by the German armament manufacturer Heckler & Koch GmbH in partnership with the Spanish state-owned design and development agency CETME. Chambered for the standard Nato round, 7.62 x 54mm, the G3 was based on a prototype assault rifle being developed by Mauser at the end of WW2. It came into service in 1959 and continued up till the mid-1990s, seeing action in many conflicts throughout the world. This particular example is deactivated in very good condition, and can be field stripped, with the butt, forestock, pistol grip and trigger group removable. This example is 1971 dated on the magazine housing, this weapon was reputedly used in Rhodesian bush war due to the camo scheme paint left on the trigger as shown and also has its Rhodesian Army markings on the lower and upper receiver as well as the bolt. This example comes complete with its deactivation certificate. The bolt is welded in place and cannot be moved but as stated can still be field stripped except the bolt.
