A German M98 dress bayonet with a long 9 ¾ “ blade with the ‘W.K.C’ Knights helm trademark to the ricasso, denoting Weyersburg Kirchbaum & Cie. Solingen'. See ‘German Clamshells’ by Walker & Weinand page 48 for similar. The chrome plating on this example is in very good condition and the bayonet is contained in its correct black steel scabbard with its brown leather frog which denotes ‘Luftwaffe’ use. The right hand grip has minor use related wear near to the spine. The press stud is non-working. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 243.
