Description

A Hungarian-manufactured 7.62 × 39 mm AK-pattern rifle, serial numbered EX7761. The exact Hungarian model and manufacturer remain to be established from its original markings and physical configuration.

The rifle carries a particularly significant group of British military processing markings on the butt, including the infinity symbol, FFE, 221 EOD, ATO and 7/8/91. FFE denotes Free From Explosives, while ATO indicates Ammunition Technical Officer inspection or authorisation. The 221 EOD marking is associated with British Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel.

The rifle additionally bears the British military Unit Identification Number A0205A, which is retained exactly as stamped. The 7891 marking is interpreted as 7 August 1991, providing a specific date for the British military EOD processing.
