Description
A very good flintlock, Scottish silver mounted sash pistol by Heriot of Edinburgh, circa 1765. Walnut full stock with silver grotesque face butt cap, escutcheon and side plate. Steel trigger guard and ramrod pipes. The two stage 8.25 inch, 25 bore barrel with marbled Damascus finish shows a Scottish clan armorial deeply engraved to the top flat. The Lock, signed G Heriot is in excellent condition and working order with strong mainspring. This slender pistol is in fine condition with no visible damages and only minor ware, 13 inches overall. It even has it’s original ramrod.
