This is a rare, original Nazi German Luftwaffe NCO & OR’s visor cap (similar Luftwaffe cap variations and insignia are illustrated in Chapter 5 of ‘The Collector’s Guide To Cloth Third Reich Military Headgear’ by Wilkins). Made of Fliegerblau (Flier’s Blue) Trikot material it has the correct gold / yellow hue piping and ribbed black Rayon headband. The front of the cap is mounted with the correct white metal Luftwaffe Eagle with Swastika & National Tri-Colour Cockade Cap Badges. The material has no mothing or damage. The cap has a patent leather visor and chin strap. The cap has its original grey leather sweatband and padded cloth liner. The liner and sweatband have minor service wear.
