Immaculate 'Swedish Mauser' M96 target rifle, scarce model made for the FSR (Frivilliga Skytterorelsen or civilian shooting organisation) by Husqvarna in 1944. Near-perfect original finishes on receiver, barrel, stock and fittings. Characteristic Husqvarna milled finish on the barrel. Unsanded stock. Correct factory target leaf sight. This rifle has never had its receiver drilled for diopter sights. Service replacement bolt; apparently a common solution amongst Swedish shooters to tighten headspace. I have replaced the bolt shroud and cocking piece with NOS Husqvarna parts but the electro-pencilled originals are included in the sale. Sale also includes the carefully reproduced FSR one-point sling that re-uses original fittings from the degraded sling fitted to the gun when I bought it, 300 rounds 6.5X55 PPU ammunition, RCBS dies, new PPU cases and bullets. Very good, bright bore. The rifle is easy to shoot and much more accurate than my other service rifles but it just isn't getting used.
