The brass cartridges have a copper primer and are headstamped RG (Radway Green) 60 (1960 date) L10Z (L10Z L was the code for a blank, 10 for a Mk10 and Z means it would contain nitrocellulose gun powder). The cartridge cases have crimped in to the mouth a blue wooden bullet which would give off enough pressure to cycle the Bren guns action and on firing, the wooden bullets would disintegrate. ).
