INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a near mint, unfired, original British number 19 mark I tail bomb pistol. This fuze is an impact instantaneous fuze and was used on various R.L. type bombs and 120, 250, and 500 lb bombs. The fuze retains its original stirrup which stop the fuze form being armed by the rotation propellor. The top of the stirrup has an extension which is connected to the bomb rack and when the bomb is released, the stirrup is left behind and the arming vane arms the bomb after 6 revolutions. The side of the fuze is stamped No 19 I RL (Royal Laboratories) 6-36 (June 1936 date). the bomb has 4 steel vanes soft soldered to the brass impellor shaft.
