INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a British WW2, 1942 dated Number 3 mark 1 anti tank mine fuze for use in the mark 4 and 5 British anti tank mines. This is an instantaneous type contact fuze with a spring loaded striker with a cotter pin type safety pin that extends through the striker shaft just above the shear pin, and a detonator and a booster charge crimped to the base. When armed, the striker is held by an inclined tongue in the hinged lid that acts as a stop for the leaf spring. The alloy fuse is stamped on the top No3 I WDC. The fuze is stamped round the circumference KYB /11/42 4087 (November 1942). The fuze retains its original push on alloy gaine, sheer pin, the arming safety pin and sting pull cord. The price includes UK delivery and no licence is required to possess this inert fuze in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. O 2212
