This is a complete contemporary sectioned for instruction WW2 1940 dated Mills no.36M MK1hand grenade. The 36M refers to the pattern of Grenade-36- and M originally 'Mesopotania' and the fact they were waterproofed. It has it's original laquered finish, lever, spring and striker. The casing is cast with manufacturer mark MF Joined G? which belongs to R.A.Main Falkirk Scotland. The lever is stamped M&Co which is the manufacturer mark of Morum & Co Ltd. Clock Tower Works, Lewisham, London. The alloy base plug is dated '40' (1940) together with 'No 36M MK I' Model detail, WD mark and ‘Z’ indicating Zinc components. Included is its dummy drill detonator set and its screw in gas check plate which has manufacturer detail ‘DGS’ & 5-40 date (May 1940) . This is a great display item. The price includes UK delivery.
