INERT** DEACTIVATED**MATCHING MANUFACTURER MARKS** British WD WW2 1942 & 1943 Dated Mills No.36M MK1, Hand Grenade By ‘TG&C’ (Thomas Glover & Co). O 1630 - O 1630

**INERT** DEACTIVATED** This is an excellent, original, WW2, Mills No.36M MK 1, hand and rifle grenade. The 36M refers to the pattern of Grenade 36 M originally 'Mesopotania' and the fact they were waterproofed. The casing of the grenade has its original lacquer finish and has cast marking ‘TG&C which is the maker’s mark of Thomas Glover & Co. The rear also has cast ‘6’ mark. The alloy base plug is marked 'No 36M Mk 1’ and 43 (1943 date) together with matching manufacturer which is also repeated on the grenade’s steel lever. It has an alloy filler plug which is stamped ‘WDC’ and ‘Z’ indicating alloy components. ‘Z’ is repeated on the inside of the filler casing where there is also a small’Broad Arrow B62 mark and ‘SDR’ (unknown) alongside ‘42’ date (1942). The grenade has its original ring with pin, spring and striker. The casing has original painted ‘red crosses’ and ‘green band’ filler indicators. The price includes UK delivery. O 1630
