INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a MINT, original WW2 German Model 39 stick hand grenade. This hand grenade originally came from a sealed case before it was deactivated and thus retains all of its original paint and finish. The grenade consists of a pressed steel head with all of its original gray painted finish. The grenades body is stenciled in a dark cream Nb. Hgr.39 and has 3 similar painted strips underneath. The undamaged grenades wooden throwing handle is stamped just below the top Nb.Hgr.39 and has a green painted screwed grenade holder at the top held on with 4 round headed screws. There is a white painted band half way down the shaft. The screw off cap at the bottom of the grenade retains all of its original green painted finish. The grenade is complete with its original porcelain pull knob and arming cord. The top of the grenade is staped RR564 1939 (1939 Date).
