INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an American WW2, 1942 dated mechanical time fuse of the MT, M43 series, used in American 3 inch, 90mm and 105mm anti-aircraft guns. The fuse is complete with its ready to use quick release issue cover. The fuse consists of a brass body and an alloy nose cone ant timing ring. The time ring is stamped MECH TIME FUZE M43A3 E.K,CO 1942 LOT 68CS-21. The timing ring is graduated from 2 to 30 and is adjusted by turning the brass centre on the fuse with a mechanical fuse setter. The fuse is complete with its pressed steel lockable protective cover which retains most of its original light green painted finish with a dark green top. The side of the cover is stencilled in white EM15/73 LOT4 and N.97 MK.6/2.
