INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an original German, 1941 dated, No 59B bomb fuze. the fuse was used with parachute flares and incendiary bomb containers. The fuze is of alloy construction and has two insulated plungers at the top with a screw on one side. The short alloy fuse body is stamped at the top EIZt Z 59 (in a circle) B bmv (Rheinmetall-Borsig AG, Soemmerda plant, Soemmerda) a and a waffenampt. The fuze is stamped at the top ZtZ 89 (in a circle) 6p. the fuze is also stamped on the side 17 cp. The bakelite containers lid is embossed 2L and is embossed 1941 a manufacturers monogram jvw 480/a. The container is embossed on the inside 1941 apr (Lux, R. u. O., Metallwaren- und Maschinenfabrik A.-G., Marienthal-Bad Liebenstein/Thuer.) 3277over B.
