INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an original German 1941 dated No 55A Y bomb fuse, safety cap and is complete with its original 1941 dated bakelite transit container. This fuse is an electrical impact fuse. The fuse and protective cap have a sand painted top and is mainly of alloy construction with steel screws locating pin. The fuse has two insulated plungers at the top. There is a steel location pin at the side to orient it with the bomb casing. The steel body has its base is screwed for the gain. The fuse is stamped at the top EIAZ 55 (within a circle) A cpp (Rheinmetall-Borsig AG, Breslau plant) Y 1941 (1941 date) 51c waffenampt 123 .
