INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a scarce inert WW2 Yugoslavian M35 Defensive Hand Grenade dated 1940. The grenade has a two piece pressed steel body and has a nicely stamped brass screw top with M 38 49 over 40 (49th week of 1940 manufacture date) and a left hand arrow, designating the unscrewing of the cap to fuse the grenade . Under the cap is the alloy percussion primer assembly followed by a thin steel washer. This is a typical grenade used by partisans during WW2 against the German army.
