Japanese iaito katana Sword

Here we have my own personal Japanese made iaito katana, I bought this sword from Japan around 1988.

Over the years it has had three different tsuka handles fitted, the last one now having two menuki pegs.

It's in great condition, it has a 28.5" blade including the habaki. Overall length including the saya is 43".

Weight is 1lb 15.6oz without says.

All the fittings are made of blackened iron, with a openwork crane tsuba

Wooden handle with ray skin and black cord.

Being a true iaito sword from Japan the blade is made from plated zinc alloy edged but not sharp.

This sword is fully legal to own in the UK, used for martial arts and laido training.

Looks great on display when bought new it cost £475 plus shipping.
