RARE, Original, WW2, 2nd Pattern, Fairbairn Sykes FS Fighting Knife By Wilkinson Sword With Etched Panels & Scabbard. Sn 8865:23

2nd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes 'FS' Fighting Knives were introduced in 1941 (See page 89-93 of The Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife & Other Commando Knives By Flook). This is a great example of the WW2, 2nd Pattern fighting knife. It has a knurled handle and measures 295mm overall with a 170mm double edged blade with medial ridge. The riccaso is etched with panels at the ricasso. One side with the Wilkinson Sword, London, name and trademark and 'The FS Fighting Knife' on the reverse. It is complete with original leather sheath with blackened external brass chape. The sheath has had it's 4 original stitched on tabs contemporaneously removed and it has a leather retaining strap with press stud fastener. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 8865:23
