9178These Knife bayonets were made in several variations for the Model 1891/97 Mannlicher Carcano Italian Infantry Rifles and Carbines which were used from their introduction in 1891 through WW1 and into WW2. This rare original Italian Model 1891/97 Carcano Carbine Knife Bayonet is complete with original Scabbard. The bayonet has an 11 1/2 inch single edged Mint fullered blade (16 1/2" overall). The crossguard with small muzzle ring is stamped 'A30637' and 'C'. It has the correct carbine press stud attachment button at the end of the pommel which functions perfectly (see item 171 in Bayonets Of The World Vol.1 By Kiesling). The bayonet's slab wood grips are in excellent undamaged conditioned. The bayonet is complete with original steel scabbard which has no dents.
