M28 fuze setter for M563 MTSQ (mechanical time super quick) fuze. M28 fuze setter spanner (An artillery fuze or fuse is the type of munition fuze used with artillery munitions, typically projectiles fired by guns (field, anti-aircraft, coast and naval), howitzers and mortars). The spanner is made from ordnance steel and is circular in shape. A rubber covered carry handle also acts as the spanner handle during fuze setting operations. The fuze setter is engraved with timing ring scales marked in minutes and seconds. A wing nut secures the settings for fuze adjustments.
