Description

**MATCHING NUMBERS**WW2 1944 Russian Tula Arsenal PPSh 41, 7.65 x 25 mm Calibre Sub Machine Gun With 2 Drum Magazines, A Webbing Magazine Carrier Pouch & 3 Inert Deactivated Rounds Of Ammunition**2017 EARLY UK/EU DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** Sn 20672:18 - 20672:18

The impetus for the development of the Russian PPSh came partly from the Winter War against Finland, where the Finnish army employed the Suomi machine pistol as a highly effective tool for close-quarter fighting in forests or built-up urban areas. The Soviet weapon was developed during WW2 in mid-1941 and was produced in a network of factories in Moscow. This is an excellent WW2 dated Russian PPSh 41, 7.65 x 25 mm Calibre SMG. Its wood and metalwork throughout are very good. It has a shrouded fore sight, swivel rear sight and has a steel butt plate with trap. The stock and vented barrel shroud have sling anchors. The top of the frame is crisply date stamped '1944' together with number 'AI1317’ which is repeated on the underside of the trigger guard and wood. The breech also has the Russian Tula arsenal ‘Star’ mark. It is complete with 2 original drum magazine, a webbing magazine carrier pouch for 1 magazine & 3 Inert Deactivated rounds Of Ammunition. The magazine carrier has a flap cover with leather retaining strap and metal buckle. The rear of the carrier has 2 belt loops. The inside of the carrier’s flap has a Russian ink stamp which can be seen in the images. Deactivated to UK / EU specification in 2020 the weapon’s slide and trigger move and the magazines can be inserted & removed. The price includes UK/EU deactivation certificate and UK delivery.
