The Superstar was launched in 1990 and was another British response to the German HW77, which by then, had its feet firmly under the table as the rifle to own if you were serious about spring guns. This new underlever borrowed some parts from the BSA Supersport, but in reality they really were a world apart. The Superstar featured a rotary breech to improve accuracy. Production of the Superstar ended in 2004. This is a near mint example of the Superstar in .177 Calibre. It has an undamaged attractive stock with BSA piled arms logo rubber recoil pad and figured cheek piece. It has a 14 ½” barrel and measures 39" overall. The metal work retains its original blue finish. The left side of the barrel has serial number 'PH01420'. The PH prefix identifies it as a .177 calibre Superstar. The barrel also has manufacturer and calibre detail (illustrated). The top of the cylinder has a telescopic sight rail. It has a ramp blade shrouded foresight and adjustable rear sight. It's cocking and firing mechanism works with a strong spring action. The rifle is fitted with a Nikko Stirling 3-9x40 Magnification Wide Angle Waterproof Telescopic Sight With Lens Protector Covers. The optics of the sight are excellent. The scope is fitted with see through tinted lens protector covers joined by elastic. The price includes UK delivery.
