The Colt M1873 Single Action Army/ Peacemaker was a single action revolver designed for the U.S. Government by Colt. The revolvers were adopted as the U.S. Army standard military service revolver until 1892 and were favoured by Early Law Enforcement Officers. The Colt design lives on today in the form of firearms quality blank firing pistols true to the original Colt pistols, made in a variety of calibres from Italian manufacturers such as Pedersoli, Uberti, Pietta and Euroarms. This Pietta Colt Peacemaker blank firing .380 / 9mm blank calibre revolver is side gate loading and has a captive ejector rod. The pistol retains all of its original factory nickel plate finish and has superb, ornate tooled decoration to the metal work. It has undamaged ivory hue grips. It has a 5 ¼” barrel with blade foresight and the rear sight is a groove on top of the cylinder frame. The pistol measures 11 ½” overall. The barrel is marked ‘Blank Fire Only .380 Calibre ’(9mm Blank) & by the maker ‘Pietta Made In Italy’). The pistols serial number is E27778 which is stamped on the underside of the frame. The pistol is correctly downward venting and has off set cylinders. Its loading, firing action & ejecting mechanisms work correctly. The price for this attractive piece includes UK delivery.
