Introduced into service in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s is still in service today and is an issue to all three services. See Ron Flook British and Commonwealth Military Knives pages 101/102 for reference. Originally manufactured by Wilkinson Sword and presently by Hopkins. The knife has also been made by several other manufacturers. This fact is reflected in the varying degrees of quality and style. This example has the later NATO stores number 127 8214 – 1993 (manufacture date) to the grips and 127 8215 on the sheath. The blued blade length is 7” and has the oval shaped crossguard. This type of sheath was introduced in 1979-the belt loop is marked ‘BHL ’93 127-8215’. The price includes UK delivery. 22520.
