This is an original Nazi Wehrmacht-Dolmetscher armband. These armbands were worn by Nazi Armed Forces Interpreters assigned to participating in questioning of allied prisoners of war or suspected Foreign insurgents. Interpreters were also used at Nazi Prison/ Concentration camps. The armband is made of a light coloured cotton material with bold black lettering ‘Wehrmacht-Dolmetscher’. The inside of the armband has a clear date stamp ’29 Jul 1945’. It has a stitched hem and is undamaged with just staining consistent with age. It measures 20cms x 7.5cms.
