A quality original, miniature 2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Officer's Dagger and Scabbard. This quality made piece which is most likely a manufacturer's sample piece made to advertise the quality of their full size weapons. The dagger which is 7 ½” overall has a near mint clean blade. It has a distinctive 'Eagle with Swastika' design cross guard and correct deep orange/gold hue 'phenol resin' grip. It has ornate Oak Leaf decorated ferrule and pommel with swastika. The handle's correct wire binding is intact and tight. The dagger has its original scabbard which is decorated with a 'hammered' design ‘Oak Leaf Panel’ and 2 hanging ring mounts with Oak leaf decoration. The dagger has no visible manufacturer’s marks.
