An original framed photograph presented to ‘Major Paterson’ by the ‘School of Instruction – Edinburgh Castle N1 Class’ 25th April to 26th May 1897’ as inscribed on the brass plaque beneath, taken at the base of ‘Castle Rock’ in Edinburgh of what looks like the current castle Garrison of the time. Encased in a hardwood ornately carved frame with gold border, measuring 59cm in width and 51cm in height. A lovely piece of history worthy of further investigation.
