This is a superb, original, large Bowie Knife hand made by Ron & Roy Middleton Sheffield, sons of the now deceased Sheffield knife maker J.E. Middleton. It has a clean 9 ¼” long deep swept Bowie blade which is a broad 1 ¾” at its widest with decorative scalloped top edge. The ricasso is stamped with the manufacturer’s names ‘R.R. Middleton, Sheffield’. It has a brass cross guard and a beautiful black Buffalo horn grip. The bowie has an ornate embossed pommel with void shields within a foliate design on the front and back aspects. This impressive knife is 15 ¼” in length overall and is complete with its black leather sheath. The rear of the sheath has a single belt loop stamped ‘RM’.
