This is a Rare German WW2 8.8cm (88 x 822R) King Tiger High Explosive round wooden transit case. The wooden transit case retains most of its original black painted finish with black and white stencilling. The hinged lid of the case is stencilled in white Kwk 43 8,8cm Pak 43 u.43/41 Pak 43/1,43/2u.43.3 on the centre. The lid is stencilled in white on the left hand side Herres-Munitions. The right hand side of the lid is stencilled in yellow 8,8cm Sprugaze 43 A.Z.23/28 Gew K1 (High explosive impact nose fuze). The front of the case is stencilled in black Heeres-Munitions Gesamtgewicht. There is a paper contents label stuck to the inside lid of the box dated 1943. The wooden transit cases lid is secured by two steel clamps and two steel hinges. The original partitions supporting the round in the box are all present. There are two lifting ropes at the ends of this case. The box is in excellent condition and there is no rot or worm to the box. Price includes UK delivery. O 2066
