This is a rare 1st type Webley Senior .177 Calibre Air pistol in very good condition. These pistols were made between 1930 & 1935 (see page 214 of Hiller's book The Collector's Guide To Air Pistols). It is undamaged with original finish and grips with Webley signature roundels. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England'. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham’ and has British & International Patents. The forward barrel block is stamped 'S.177' (calibre). It has the correct 1st type smooth barrel without knurled section found on later models (see page 76 of Webley Air pistols by Bruce where the difference is illustrated). The left side of the frame is stamped serial / batch number 'S702' & the front of the cylinder stamped with matching number '702'. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires crisply. The pistol is contained in its original Webley labelled cardboard box with vivid Webley pistol imagery & Senior model detail. Original illustrated instructions are adhered to the inside of the lid of the box (illustrated). The box has its original pellet box compartment with later fabricated pellet box (empty) & wire cleaning brush. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 23484:33
