A Percussion boxlock pocket pistol circa 1760 converted from flintlock by Stanton of London. The side plates engraved with the makers name Stanton - London. (probably Jonathan Stanton who had a workshop in London circa 1748 - 1767. Silver wire inlay to each side of the grip. Screw-off 2 inch cannon barrel. London proof marks to the underside of the breech. In good condition showing little signs of use or wear. Action in good working order. Overall length 8 inches. Ref 3166.
