Retailed by EDWIN LADMORE of HEREFORD and engraved with his name on top of the barrel. Gunsmith E. Ladmore had a workshop in Widemarsh Street, Hereford circa 1841-1870. Decorative scrolling to the frame, cylinder and trigger guard. The two piece finely chequered grips secured with a central screw and fitted with a steel lanyard ring. Side mounted ejector rod. Swing out loading gate. Approx 7 mm calibre. The cylinder stamped with British proof marks. The double action in good working order. Showing some signs of use and wear during it's working life, otherwise in good condition. These scarce multi-shot pinfire revolvers are getting very hard to find, especially when retailed by British provincial gun makers, they are also known to have been carried during the later stages of the American Civil War (circa 1861-1865).
