Description

1844 Victorian British WD Enfield Tower .650 Carbine Calibre Cavalry Officer’s Percussion Holster Pistol. Sn 18707 - 18707

This is a very good, original British WD Enfield Tower Cavalry Officer’s pistol. It has all original wood work with brass fittings, including trigger guard with extended tang, butt plate with steel lanyard ring, brass ram rod flute and fore stock plate. It has a heavy military hammer & wood ram rod with brass end cap. It measures 15 ¼” overall with an 8 ¾” round steel barrel. The smooth bore has staining & residue consistent with age & use. The barrel has proofs. The action works as it should. The action plate is signed with the Enfield ‘Tower’ mark, Crown VR (Victoria Regina), 1844 date and WD / Board of Ordnance crown with arrow inspection mark. The wood is impressed with factory inspector’s mark ‘W.R’. The price includes UK delivery. NB As an antique percussion pistol no licence is required to own this item in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display. Sn 18707
