Sako Forester L579 Bolt Action .243 Rifle

.243 Sako L579 Forester bolt action rifle, ( unthreaded ). We’ve just taken this in from the original owner who bought it new 20 odd years ago. It’s not done a great deal of work, the bore is excellent with deep crisp rifling, the bolt operates smooth as silk. All the metalwork is in excellent condition and the stock is great the only negative being the pistol grip base which shows a few marks from being rested on gates etc. which I’ve shown in two pics. These will come out with steam if they bother you. A new owner may want to consider buying a bolt shroud as the previous owner removed the original plastic one as it was cracked. They do come up for sale on auction sites or failing that you could buy a custom steel shroud, which many L579 owners do anyway. I do have a pair of vintage Sako low ring mounts I could sell seperately if interested. We can send to an RFD of your choice for £25.
