This is an original, 1902-1910 Royal Warwickshire Regiment 1st Lieutenant’s Red Dress Tunic. The vivid red Tunic has silvered collar dogs with separate gold grown. The epaulettes carry 2 dress pips for the rank of 1st Lieutenant & the buttons with Kings crown are all present. There is a Tailor’s on the lining ‘Samuel Gardner & Co, 1 Clifford Street, Saville Row W1’ with a faint indistinct had written name no doubt the name of the Officer who owned this tunic. The cream lining is in excellent condition as is the blue melton cloth, gold braid collar & cuffs. The body of the Tunic and lining have just the service and storage wear to be expected.
