Scarce*British Carbine Socket Bayonet and Scabbard ‘India Pattern Sergeants’. BAYO 777. Bayonet

This bayonet and scabbard is distinguished by the thicker, more rounded rim on the socket, compared with the previous Land Pattern, and also the name styles of the makers, in this case it is ‘Hadley’ which is marked to the flat side of the blade. The leather scabbard has a brass locket, separate frog stud and chape, its general construction is usually a little heavier and stronger than the previous types.
