This is a very good example of the Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889 rifle with excellent wood and metal work throughout. The rifle measures 51 ½ ”overall with a 31” barrel. The bore is decent for its age and thee rifling is still visable
The rifle is stamped with the matching serial number on the breech, barrel, bolt, rear sight and magazine. The stock is stamped with Swiss Military marks
This is a very good example with all original wood with minor bumps due to service use. The metalwork retains all of its original blued finish. The stock & metal are stamped with Swiss Military marks (illustrated). The gun is complete with its bayonet bar, slings swivels, adjustable rear sight (graduated to 2000 metres) and fore sight. The cocking and firing actions work perfectly. The price includes UK delivery.
