The Projector Mk IIIA* Gun Sight (officially classified as the Free Gun Reflector Sight Mk IIIA*) was a highly successful World War II-era reflector gun sight used primarily by the Royal Air Force (RAF). Manufactured by prominent optical companies like The Pullin Optical Co Ltd, it served as the standard aiming mechanism for defensive, flexibly mounted weapons across British and Commonwealth multi-engine aircraft. This is an original boxed example. There is no exterior damage, all glass is intact and it has its original power cords. The sight has its original bakelite Night / Day / Dimmer dial Air ministry identification plate and voltage information plate (all illustrated). The sight comes with its original issue cardboard box. The box is intact with just light surface wear and original Pullin Optical Co Ltd label with ‘Reflector Gunsight MK IIIA*’ designation.
