The Steyr AUG A1 is an Austrian bullpup assault rifle chambered for the 5.56×45mm NATO intermediate cartridge, designed in the 1960s by Steyr-Daimler-Puch, and manufactured by Steyr Arms GmbH & Co KG. This is a first model AUG A! (Armee-Universal-Gewehr - army universal rifle) that was adopted in 1977 and is a selective-fire, bullpup assault rifle fitted with an integrated 1.5 x telescopic sight made by Swarovski Optik that is integrated with the receiver casting which has a basic V and post open sight cast into the top of the casting. The bullpup design is a very compact weapon with the breach being behind the trigger guard. This gun is fitted with the olive coloured fibreglass reinforced polymer stock and plastic 30 round magazine. The weapons rotating fore grip moves and locks as it should. The optical sight is clear and has a crosshair and a circle in the reticule. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2020 the weapon’s slide, trigger, and safety catch all move and the magazine can be removed. The rifle is complete with its 2 metal sling swivels.
